Headhunter Tactical LLC was founded by United States Marine Corps Scout Snipers with the mission to provide innovative security consultation to the public and private sectors.

Through implementing years of experience in combat, intelligence and fieldcraft, Headhunter Tactical offers comprehensive and discrete security solutions spanning Information Technology, Personal security details, training, and every aspect of security on a global scale.

Our Story

THE FOUNDING

Headhunter Tactical was born from a simple recognition: the skills, discipline, and operational experience developed by elite military operators are exactly what private and government organizations need — but rarely have access to.

Founded by Marine Scout Snipers who served in some of the most demanding combat roles the United States military fields, Headhunter Tactical was established to bridge that gap. The same fieldcraft, intelligence analysis, and mission planning methodology used in combat operations now drives how we assess, protect, and train our clients.

Based in Elgin, Texas, we serve clients across the United States and internationally — from local school districts seeking to improve campus safety to federal agencies requiring specialized security consultation. Our size means you get the principals, not a junior team — and our certifications mean we qualify for the contracts that matter.

As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, every contract we win is a direct investment in the veteran community that built this organization.

Migel A. Nunez — Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer Migel A. Nunez Chief Executive Officer — HeadHunter Tactical LLC

Migel Nunez is a native of Elgin, TX, and graduated from Elgin High School in 1999. Migel enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating and served from 2001–2005. While in the Marine Corps, Migel served as an Assaultman (Demolition Expert) and a Scout Sniper. Migel completed a combat tour in Iraq as a Scout Sniper Team Leader, conducting and overseeing over 100 combat missions.

After separating from the Marine Corps, Migel stayed active in the Military, Civilian Law Enforcement, and Force Readiness community by becoming a member of the United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper Association, The Recon and Sniper Association (TRSF) Precision Rifle Team, and a Certified Firearms Instructor through the Texas Department of Public Safety. Migel brings over 15 years of knowledge and expertise in Fieldcraft, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Robert Gunn — President of Information Technology

Robert Gunn is a native of Roanoke, VA, and graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 2000. Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating and served as a Mortar Man. After completing a combat tour in Iraq, Robert transitioned into his true passion of computers and IT.

Offering over 17 years of experience within his industry, Robert is highly versed in working with complex systems and infrastructures, including automation. His expertise includes:

  • Data and Systems Architecture
  • Virtual and Cloud Technologies
  • Built and maintained network infrastructure consisting of Windows, Linux, and cloud products
  • Collaborated with clients to determine need and devise appropriate software and hardware solutions

Robert's business philosophy is customer-focused. He has made cultivating long-term partnerships with vendors and clients the focal point of his career, and brings that paradigm with him to HeadHunter Tactical.

Justin Reed — Director of Field Operations

Justin Reed is a graduate of the University of Memphis, TN, having earned a Bachelor's in Professional Studies with a concentration in Emergency Management.

His career in the United States military began in 2005 and has spanned three different branches. Justin began his impressive journey as a Marine Corps Infantry Rifleman, followed by Army Combat Medic, then finally as an Air Force Emergency Manager Journeyman and Aerospace Medical Technician.

He is certified in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense, Combat rifle and pistol marksmanship, and is a Certified Firearms Instructor. Justin currently lives in Memphis, Tennessee where he continues to serve as a Technical Sergeant in the Air National Guard.
